Student held for molesting nurse

Arrested for duping: Meeravali Meerbaz Khan Pathan, a 20-year-old driver residing in Satavwadi area of Hadapsar was yesterday arrested on charges of duping his employer by misappropriating the car he was given to drive.

Police said Prashant Raghunath Dusane of Hadapsar had appointed Pathan as his driver recently. He had also allowed Pathan to keep the keys of the vehicle on him.

Two held: Reshma Yusuf Shaikh and Renu Mayava, both owners of a brothel from the red light areas of Budhwar Peth, were yesterday arrested by the Faraskhana police on charges of inducing five under-aged girls into prostitution. The five girls, who were at the brothel for more than a year, were rescued by a Faraskhana police team led by sub-inspector Rekha Salunke on February 12. Reshma and Renu were arrested after the medical examination of the rescued girls revealed that they were under-aged, police said.
