The CJM, after recording their statements, adjourned the case for recording statements of the remaining four accused.
Denying all prosecution charges in the court, constable Sukhwinder Singh, the security guard of Gurkirat Singh, grandson of the assassinated Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, said that he had been detained in the police station even prior to his arrest. He added that his photographs had been obtained from his house.

Both the accused said they were innocent and had been falsely implicated in the case.
Earlier, hearing the application filed by Gurkirat Singh, seeking exemption from personal appearance before the court, the CJM granted him exemption holding the stated grounds as sufficient.
It may be recalled that during the last hearing, Gurkirat had denied all prosecution charges, stating that he had been falsely implicated in the case on account of political rivalry.
In all, 37 witnesses have been examined by the prosecution so far and statements of three of the seven accused have been recorded.
