Song programme

CHANDIGARH, Oct 6: Swar Saptak Club will present a programme featuring songs of writer-composer S. Rakesh at Tagore Theatre on October 10. Five local singers, Brijesh Ahuja, Kanchan Kulkarni, Neelam Chauhan, Veenu Koutish, Rinku Kalia and Rajarsh, will render the Rakesh songs accompanied by the Tarsem orchestra.

2 prizes instituted for elderly
Satyaksh Seva Charitable Trust is celebrating the Year of the Elderly by instituting two prizes, the Chandigarh Pitashri and Chandigarh Matashri Awards. All persons above the age of 85, who are engaged in constructive activities and would like to be considered for the award, are invited to send their bio-data along with a recent photograph to the trust by October 15.
