Deepak sparkles
Excellent performance by Deepak Soni 77 not out and 2 for 17 guided LB Shastri to a 41-run victory over Shankracharya Academy in the semi-final of the first all India Alpine under-14 tournament. Pardeep Maan8217;s 68 went in vain for the losers.

Ball badminton
Hyderbad defeated Kerala 29-19, 29-28 and Andhra beat Karnataka 29-17, 29-11 in the boys category in the semi-final of the 19th sub-junior nationals ball badminton championship at Allahabad according to reports reaching here.

In the girls section, Kerala prevailed over Karnataka 29-11, 29-26 while Andhra outplayed Orissa 29-24, 25-29, 29-20.
