DAV win in tie-breaker
 DAV Chitra Gupta Road defeated Hamdard Nagar School 5-2 in the tie-breaker in the Polio Unmoolan Inter-School Football Tournament. The teams were level at one-all at the end of regulation time. Samiullah Lassu had given Hamdard the lead in the seventh minute while Paramveer equalised for DAV in the second half. In the tie-breaker, Sumit, Yogeshvar, Paramveer and Ravinder scored for DAV while Shadar and Zaheeruddin netted for Hamdard.

Classic triumph
 Classic Cricket Club defeated Tiger Cricket Club by 131 runs in the first Anukur Memorial Cricket Tournament at the Railway ground, Kishanganj.
Classic CC: 209 for 6 in 30 overs (Ashwani Kumar 59, Kushant 47, Bunty 27, Sanjay 2 for 32, Amit 2 for 31).

Coaching centre
 The Poor Delhi Coaching Centre for young boys will commence from January 8 at the Poorv Delhi Khel Parisar, DDA sports complex, Dilshad Garden. Interested boys may contact the secretary or the manager at the centre.
Tytler Badminton
 The J.D.Tytler Memorial Badminton Tournament will be held at the Indira Gandhi Stadium from January 21 to 24, 1998. Entries close on Jan 19 at 7 p.m at the venue and may be given to Vikram Singh or Paramjit Singh.
This will also serve as the trials for the selection of the Delhi team for the National Badminton Championship to be held at Hyderabad from February 3 to 9.
Cricket tourney
 The fourth Sardar Gurnana Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament will be held from January 16 at Gautam Bud Nagar, Great Noida. The winners will get Rs 5,100 and the runners-up Rs 3,100.
