Rajya Sabha MP and BJP’s Jharkhand working president Aditya Sahu is set to become the chief of the party’s state unit, replacing Babulal Marandi.

Sahu on Tuesday filed his nomination for the post of Jharkhand BJP president, and with no other nominations coming in, he will be formally announced as the new party chief on Wednesday by Union minister Jual Oram, who arrived in Ranchi to oversee the final phase of the party’s organisational elections.

The nomination process was held at the BJP state office as part of the concluding stage of the BJP’s organisational exercise. Acting on the directions of the central leadership, Oram reached Ranchi and supervised the process, with nominations being accepted between noon and 2 pm.
