BUDAPEST, October 24: Cuba8217;s Felix Savon was one fight away from his sixth successive heavyweight title at the Amateur Boxing World Championships after notching up yet another easy win in yesterday8217;s semi-finals.

Four Cubans and three Russians went through, with more waiting in the wings.

Double Olympic champion Savon stopped inexperienced Dane Tue Bjoern Tomsen in the third round, sending him to the canvas with 57 seconds left on tclock.

Tomsen took a standing count, carried on but it was the beginning of the end 8212; which Savon fast-forwarded by charging at the Dane who retreated as the referee rushed in.

Savon fights Uzbekistan8217;s Rushan Chagaev, who beat Germany8217;s Mike Hanke 12-7, for the gold and is the clear favourite.
