
MOGA, MARCH 23: The Shiromani Akali Dal Panthic headed by Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, former Jathedar Akal Takht, will organise a political-cum-religious conference at Moga on April 1 at the Bughipura Chowk. The conference and the religious Dewan is aimed at mobilising the Sangat for the parallel celebrations of the Khalsa tercentenary at Anandpur Sahib.
Stating this here today, district president of the Shiromani Akali Dal Panthic, Buta Singh Ransihnakalan said that the conference will be addressed among others by Gurcharan Singh Tohra, former Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee chief, Bhai Ranjit Singh, quot;suspendedquot; Akal Takht Jathedar, Baba Thaker Singh, chief of Damdami Taxal and patron Sant Samaj, Baba Sarbjot Singh Bedi and Jasbir Singh Rode.
According to Buta Singh, a large number of supporters of Tohra from various places adjoining Moga district will take part in the conference. The Badal government is likely to face flak at the conference.
The conference will discuss their agenda for a separate Panthic stage under the leadership of quot;suspendedquot; Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh at Anandpur Sahib on April 13 and 14 during the Khalsa tercentenary celebrations.
