Residents demand roads

PANCHKULA, Aug 24: The residents of the Mansa Devi Complex Sector 5 are up in arms against the authorities for their apathy towards the problem of roads in the sector. Although many of the flats are ready but the residents are finding it difficult to move in because of the quot;absence of the roads.quot;

There are nearly 30 odd societies constructing flats in the sector. The residents can8217;t move in because there are no roads, not even approach roads. Says Kuljeet Singh, who is waiting to shift in one of the flats,quot; Even the approach road is absent and it is just not possible to gain entry and reach our flat. Although our flat is complete but we are waiting for the roads to be constructed before we can finally move in.quot;

The Senior Engineer of Haryana Urban Development Authority said,quot; a lot of construction is still going on in the sector. And is creating problems, for the construction material is heaped on the road. We have asked the estate office many times but so far nothing has been done. However, the process is on.quot;
