
CHANDIGARH, Nov 30: The president of the Punjab University Campus Students Council PUCSC, D.P.S. Randhawa, today met the Controller of Examinations and forwarded a request of the students of the Department of Sociology for a review of the results of students who appeared in the examination on Urban Sociology. According to Randhawa, a majority of the students have failed in the examination and demanded a rechecking of papers.
PU to host UGC workshop
Punjab University will be hosting the University Grants Commission UGC Development Centre Workshop from December 7-8. According to the chairman of the Department of Geology, R.S. Chaudhri, the secretary of the Association of Indian Universities will also be participating in the meet. The meeting is being held at the PU for the first time.
Telephone traffic staff merger
The Chandigarh unit of All India Telephone Traffic Employees Association AITEU has merged with AITEU led by V.A.N. Namboodri. At a meeting held yesterday under the presidentship of Ram Parkash, district president, the house has unanimously decided to dissolve the association and merge with AITEU led by Namboodri.
