RCF net profit up

MUMBAI: Rashtriya Chemicals amp; Fertilizers Ltd RCF has estimated a 128 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 175 crore for the year ended March 1998 as against Rs 76.88 crore in the previous year.

Turnover is said to have risen by 27 per cent to Rs 1,700 crore on the back of an increase in fertiliser production by around 2 lakh tonnes during the period.

RCF CMD Deepak Kumar Varma said that scaling down of the specific energy consumption by 4 per cent Rs 8 crore per annum, in addition to the improved value added per employee from Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 7.9 lakh, has helped the company to achieve this performance.
