
Indian reply kills 15 Pak soldiers
JAMMU: At least 15 Pakistani soldiers were killed and five of their bunkers and a major ammunition depot destroyed in retaliatory firing by Indian troops in Poonch and Jammu sectors since last night, defence sources here said today. Indian troops replied with mortar shelling and rocket attacks after two days of intermittent8217; shelling by Pakistan along the LoC in Chhamb, Krishna Gati and Bhimber Gali areas, the sources said.

NEW DELHI: Senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler today got a clean chit in the 1989 anti-Sikh riots case from a city court which accepted the CBI report saying there was no evidence of his involvement in the riots. 8220;There is no evidence brought out which could help in identifying any person who may have been member of the riotous mob8230;8221; MagistrateR K Gauba said while approving of the closure reports.

Boat capsize
ALLAHABAD: At least eight people drowned and six others were missing after a boat carrying 36 passengers capsized on the Tonse river at Dharwara, about 20 km from here, today.
