May Day bonanza
The 1200 mm main water pipeline from Parvati water works to SNDT and the pump set installed at SNDT will be inaugurated by Revenue Minister Udayanraje Bhosale at a function on May 1.

The laying of the main water pipeline will benefit residents of Shivajinagar, Kothrud, Deccan Gymkhana, Aundh, Pashan, Baner, Balewadi, Khadki, Dapodi and Bopodi. Suresh Kalmadi, MP, Vitthal Tupe, MP and others will be present. The work of laying the pipeline was started about a year and a half ago and an amount of Rs four crore had been spent for completing the work. The level of water will remain constant in the tank due to the laying of the pipeline. This will enable far-flung areas and those situated at an incline to receive water.

Holiday court
The civil and criminal court in Pimpri will have a holiday court for hearing of cases on Sunday8217;s and other public holidays from May 1. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Advocates8217; Bar Association had requested the district judge to allow opening of the holiday court in Pimpri which was accepted and accordingly the orders for opening the holiday court have been issued.
