Impasse over panel continues in DDCA

According to sources, the DDCA is now on an overdrive to sort out the panel and is accusing the CIC of being uncooperative and unreasonable, especially with the limited time on hand.

Even as the start of the domestic season draws closer, there is no headway in the tussle between the Cricket Improvement Committee CIC consisting of Bishen Bedi,Kirti Azad,Madan Lal,Surinder Khanna and Maninder Singh and the Delhi amp; District Cricket Association DDCA over the choice of 8216;appropriate8217; candidates for the panel of coaches and selectors. And the paucity of time is only making the confrontation bigger between the two factions and are calling for urgent intervention of president Arun Jaitley to solve the impasse.

According to sources, the DDCA is now on an overdrive to sort out the panel and is accusing the CIC of being uncooperative and unreasonable, especially with the limited time on hand. The CIC,on the other hand,is adamant on not approving certain candidates who they feel are detrimental to the interests of the game and reiterated their stance of distancing themsevles if their opinion are not heeded to.

Efforts of a possible compromise between the two sides failed once again on Thursday when the CIC trashed the entire reworked panel offered by the DDCA,including that of the entire Ranji Trophy and almost half of the under 22,under 19 and under 16 panel.
