I am still the same as before: Massa

Massa practiced on a privately owned Formula One Ferrari at the Fiorano track in Italy on Sunday.

It went very well. What happened last July 25 has not changed anything. I am still the same as before and that makes me happy,for me and for the team, The Mirror quoted Massa,as saying.

I didnt manage to do many laps because it was raining,but what I understood today is that everything has returned to how it was before the accident, he added.

The 28 year-old missed the final stages of the F1 season after fracturing his skull,when he was hit by a spring that flew off the rear of fellow Brazilian Rubens Barrichellos Brawn GP car during the qualifying session for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

He had hoped to be fit to take part in the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi,his hopes were dashed out when Ferrari confirmed that he would not return to F1 this year.

Massa is now looking forward to regain his confidence with the car,and is certain of racing next season.

Driving and seeing that everything is ok is important,we can work to prepare for the 2010 Championship after a difficult year like this one, he said.
