BCCI rubbishes Thisara Perera IPL fixing allegations,says SLC

A Mumbai-based bookie had fixed an IPL match by striking deals with four Hyderabad players.

Sri Lanka Cricket today said that the BCCI has cleared its all-rounder Thisara Perera of alleged match-fixing in this year8217;s IPL.

8220;Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to announce that the alleged match-fixing charges referred to Thisara Perera,has been totally refuted by the Anti Corruption Unit of the Board of Control of Cricket in India BCCI,8221; SLC said in a statement. According to reports,a Mumbai-based bookie had fixed an IPL match for Rs 6 crore after striking deals with four players of Sunrisers Hyderabad 8212; Thisara Perera,Hanuma Vihari,Karan Sharma,Ashish Reddy.

The alleged bookie8217;s statement has been included by the Mumbai police crime branch in its chargesheet filed on Saturday.

Perera is currently playing in the Champions League representing the Sunrisers.
