Her latest video, Womanizer8212;the first single from her new album Circus8212;is so raunchy some TV channels censored it. For much of the video, she is nude in a sauna and playing the choicest roles8212;a naughty secretary, a tattooed waitress and a near-topless chauffeur. The video was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Joseph Khan, who also worked with her on Toxic. It has created an online sensation and topped Billboard charts, signalling a comeback for the former teenybop sensation who shot to fame with Hit me baby one more time in 1999. Slimmer and sexier, 26-year-old Britney looks all set to reclaim her pop princess crown after making the news for all the wrong reasons over the past few years8212;shaving her head, suffering a nervous breakdown, attacking paparazzi and losing custody of her children. Britney won three awards at the MTV video music awards earlier this year.

The sensibilities of Tina Brown
Read this skip that. That8217;s the slogan of Tina Brown8217;s new website, which looks as glitzy as a tabloid and reads like a highbrow magazine8212;and she has edited a good number of both. In the age of information overdose, The Daily Beast, named after the newspaper in Evelyn Waugh8217;s Scoop, promises to offer more than news8212;8220;Sensibility, darling,8221; Brown said, launching the site. Her website curates stories and publishes 8216;Beast Originals8217;. From the 8216;big fat8217; political story on McCain to Madonna and Guy Ritchie parting ways, the Beast has enough feed, on everything from politics to entertainment to 8216;outrageous8217; happenings, to keep you reading. The bold design is a straight A too: check out the frequently updated 8216;Cheat Sheet8217; of must-reads, in a neat red-lined band at the centre of the page, with videos and the 8216;Buzz Board8217;8212;recommendations by 8216;smart people8217; like Bill Clinton8212;to the right and the big stories to the left.

After Hogwarts, it8217;s Ivy League
It turns out Emma Watson is as much of an academic in real life as the character she famously plays in the Harry Potter movies. Like Hermione Granger, she has made it plain that she is serious about her studies. Fame and fortune aside, Emma has been touring the best American universities in search of a Hogwarts-like experience. After making over pound;10 million from the Harry Potter franchise, Emma is willing to put her acting career on hold for a good old-fashioned degree in literature or liberal arts. The 18-year-old won8217;t take on any films after wrapping up work on the last movie in the franchise. After doubts being cast on her dating sensibilities and she was spotted at the Paris Fashion Week with Katy Perry and Dita Von Teese, this academic foray should restore Emma8217;s goody-two-shoes image.
