New Delhi, June 25: The Indian Parliamentary Group today condemned the Pakistan intrusion in Kargil saying it was total violation of all norms of inter-state conduct and called upon the international community to maintain its pressure for immediate withdrawal of forces.

8220;The Indian Parliamentary Group strongly condemns Pakistan8217;s act of armed intrusion and aggression against India 8230;As well as the Simla agreement and the Lahore declaration,8221; the IPG said in a resolution adopted at its executive committee meeting here, chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker G M C Balayogi.

The group members were briefed by Foreign Secretary K Raghunath, Defence Secretary T R Prasad and director general of military operations Lt Gen N C Vij about the latest situation in Kargil.

Reiterating that Jammu and Kashmir has been, is and shall remain an integral part of India, it said any attempt to separate it from the rest of the country shall be resisted by all necessary means.

The committee also condemned Pakistan8217;s inhuman andbarbaric treatment of Indian soldiers who were tortured while in its custody before being shot dead. Deputy Speaker P M Sayeed, Rajya Sabha deputy chairperson Najma Heptulla, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Kumaramangalam, former Union home minister Indrajit Gupta, Dr Manmohan Singh, P A Sangma, Dr Karan Singh, K L Sharma, Rabi Ray, Arif Mohammed Khan, and H Hanumanthappa attended the meeting.
