
DECEMBER 3: 8220;Pakistan Cricket Board has released coach Richard Pybus after the conclusion of the first leg of the Australian tour,8221; said the board8217;s secretary Shafqat Rana in a statement. 8220;A decision on Pybus8217; replacement will be announced soon,8221; he said.
Pybus, 35, was first hired as assistant coach during the World Cup in England in May-June this year and was elevated to coach after former Test star Wasim Raja fell out with the previous set-up in October and resigned.
UCBSA inspector
MUMBAI: A representative of the United Cricket Board of South Africa UCBSA has come to India and has started visiting centres which have been earmarked by the home board to host matches during the forthcoming tour of the Proteas in February-March.
Ghoolam Raja, no stranger to the sub-continent having accompanied previous teams to India, has already visited Bangalore8217;s Chinnaswamy Stadium which is scheduled to host one of the two Tests during the 34-day tour after reaching here a few days ago.

JAMSHEDPUR: Hosts Bihar and Orissa entered the quarter finals of Cooch Behar Trophy under-19, defeating Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh respectively in the pre-quarter final matches here today.
East Zone champion Bihar snatched a thrilling one-wicket victory over a fighting UP at the Keenan Stadium here while Orissa registered an emphatic 47-run win over Andhra Pradesh at the Telco ground on the concluding day of the three-day tie today.
Bihar will now take on Tamil Nadu and Orissa will meet Punjab in the quarter-finals beginning here from December 5.
National Bridge
HYDERABAD: Over 1500 players from all over the country will participate in the 41st National Bridge Championship which will get under way from December 4 to 14 at Lal Bahadur Stadium here.
The championship includes team of four duplicate for Ruia Gold trophy, board-a-match for Dhampur Trophy, pairs for Holkar Trophy and categorised pairs.
The team of four duplicate event is the main event of the championship in which about 200 teams divided into two groups will play 15 rounds of Swiss League.
