The Pakistan team physiotherapist Dr Tausif Razaq has resigned following his differences with captain Inzamam-ul Haq and other team management members, sources disclosed on Wednesday.
8216;8216;Yes, he is not likely to continue and according to information I received he has told the top brass of the PCB the reasons for not continuing with the team. If anything new does not come up he will be replaced by someone for the next assignment of the team,8217;8217; said an official on condition of anonymity.
Dr Razaq did not come with the team to Rawalpindi from Lahore and according to the source, 8216;8216;I don8217;t know what actually happened between them and what sort of differences they had but I can confirm that he had some meetings with top office bearers of the PCB including the chief executive Ramiz Raja and chairman Shahryar Khan and discussed the matter in details.8217;8217;
He also said that Inzamam was approached by top PCB officials on the matter and he gave his point of view regarding Tausif. The PCB decided to leave out Tausif after thinking about the matter in depth and did not bother to replace him for the last Test. It was also learned that the PCB was negotiating with the doctor and there were chances that the differences may be resolved.
Meanwhile, the PCB contradicted the information and said that team had no differences and no one was going to resign. 8216;8216;There is no difference among team members or officials with players and Tausif has not resigned from his post. He would surely continue with his job,8217;8217; said an official on behalf of PCB. 8216;8216;There is no truth in reports that the trainer has quit,8217;8217; the PCB spokesman told reporters here in reply to a question.
