REPUBLICANS PREVAIL: Bombay Republicans A scored a 1-0 victory over Khalsa Gymkhana A in the Bombay Hockey Association Senior Division League at the Mahindra Stadium. Republicans converted a stroke through Vijay Alphonso to clinch victory.

In a Second Division match, Catholic Gymkhana thrashed MLWB, Goregaon, 6-0 with goals from Vally Picardo 2, Ryan Alphonso 2, Cedric Miranda and Charlestor Lobo.

In Pool B of the third division, Khalsa XI beat Vasai Eskimos 5-0. Malkit Singh 3, Hardeep Singh and Nilesh Sawant were the scorers.
