CHANDIGARH, June 23: A new telephone directory for Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and other areas lying within the Chandigarh telecom district has been published.
The directory contains the numbers of nearly 1.32 lakh subscribers, who had been given connections up to March 31, 1998. The 570 page directory contains 360 pages devoted to Chandigarh, 175 for Panchkula, Mohali, and Dera Bassi among others, apart from yellow pages.
Principal General Manager Telecom Prithipal Singh said the copies of the directory were being dispatched to the residences of the subscribers by courier and the exercise is expected to be over in a month and a half.
The previous directory contained 90,000 numbers and contained numbers corrected up to September 1996, after which a supplementary directory was published listing telephone numbers up to May 1997.
