New technology for data warehousing

PUNE, Sept 14: Informix International Incorporated, a leader in database solutions, plans to enter into partnerships with Indian industries and get a share of the data warehousing market in the country.

Speaking to media persons at a seminar on data warehousing organised by the Pune chapter of the Computer Society of India today, Informix India Operations acting managing director Muthusamy Gabriel said the company would meet the emerging needs of warehousing by providing methodology and technology. He said: 8220;We want to work with industrial leaders and the IT community to create awareness about the need of data warehousing8221;.

Pune has a tremendous skilled human resource infrastructure, which will help us in launching new technologies in providing user specific solutions, said Gabriel.The company would also find a market for its warehousing solutions, he added. The company has already supplied dataware house solutions to Modi Telstra, Pepsico and Godrej-GE, he said.
