VADODARA, Aug 10: Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Devendra Makwana has asked all autorickshaw drivers to get their tariff card, containing revised autorickshaw fares and freight charges, duly signed from his office.

The orders have been issued following a gazette notification of the State Government with regard to revision of fares and freight charges which came into force all over the state with effect from August 9. Though the revised tariff rates were received by the RTO on Monday only, autorickshaw drivers have been charging the hiked rate from July 9 itself, resulting into confusion among the commuters.

According to the revised tariff, no freight will be levied on articles weighting below 15 kg. If the weight of articles exceed 15 kg freight will be charged at a rate of 90 paise per article of luggage.
