Mediclaim
The On The Spot Overseas Mediclaim Policy8217; will be inaugurated by the chairperson of United India Assurance Company, S K Kanwar at the Western India Automobile Association office on December 3 at 10.30 am. This scheme, targeted at overseas travellers, is touted as the first of its kind in India.
NGO exhibition
The Association of Youth for Better India AYBI and the Concern India Foundation have jointly organised Ongoing 978242;, an exhibition of products made by non-governmental organisations. The event will be held over three days from Friday at the Cricket Club of India, Churchgate.
Said Vivek Asrani of the AYBI, 8220;The NGO sector in India has been involved in very important work at the grassroots level, many without resources or personnel. quot;At the other end, there are people who wish to do something for others, but do not know how to. We thought this event would bring these two groups together.8221;
The organisers hope that people who visit the mela will not just buy the products on display, but also interact with the social groups, giving the people and the causes behind the products wider reach.
This event follows the success of last year8217;s event, where about 60 NGOs participated. This year, 103 are participating.
