Computer courses for children

Boston8217;s Cyberkids, a division of Boston8217;s Education Software Technology, has introduced a one-year curriculum for children between the age of 4 and 14. As part of the new curriculum, the company has launched Toto8217;s Compuventure, Planet World, Jungle Safari, Cyber Tycoons, Music Maestro and Junior Architects, which teach children about animals, eco-systems, composition and sound mixing. According to a press release, it also improves their writing skills and introduces them to computer aided design.

Hobby classes on weekends

Bal Bhavan at Charni Road has organised hobby classes on weekends from July to September, 1999. The classes will be conducted in flower-making, calligraphy, nib-painting, guitar, keyboard, tabla, harmonium, acting, dancing and singing. Kargilfund by SBI staff

Officers and workmen staff of the State Bank of India, through their respective federations, have contributed the encashment of one day8217;s privilege leave to the Prime Minister8217;s Relief Fund for the jawans fighting in Kargil. The bank staff handed over Rs 11 crore to the prime minister on June 22 in New Delhi.

Mobile ration shops

Mumbai will have 33 mobile ration shops soon. The state government has decided to ply 33 vehicles it had purchased for the purpose with the help of the central government.
