MHADA scheme for tenements at Mankhurd

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Board has announced a scheme for allotment of tenements at Mankhurd. Anybody who has completed 18 years of age can apply for the scheme. There is no income limit and the cost of each tenement is Rs 4.98 lakh.

MHADA will give assistance in granting loans from financial institutions. The cost of each tenement is to be paid in four installments by June 1999. Applications are being sold at Griha Nirman Bhavan, Bandra E, at Rs 50 per form. The last date of application is November 27 and forms will be accepted from October 28 to December 2 between 11 am and 4 pm.

Committee set up for repairs

The state government has set up a committee under former chief secretary of Maharashtra, Dinesh Afzalpurkar, to suggest remedial measures for the repair and reconstruction of old and dilapidated structures in the suburbs and the city. Those interested in giving their views will be able to obtain a questionnaire free ofcost from the office of the public relations officer, MHADA, at Griha Nirman Bhavan, Bandra E.

Copies are also available with MPs, MLAs and corporators. Suggestions are to be given in brief to the deputy secretary, Afzalpurkar committee Government of Maharashtra Housing and Special Assistance Department, Mantralaya.

EFI gets new secretary-general

Sharad S Patil has joined the Employers8217; Federation of India as its secretary-general from October 1. Patil, an MA Economics in Personal Management and a diploma in Business Management and has headed human resource functions in various companies.
