Meritorious students get prizes

CHANDIGARH, Nov 26: Students who had achieved distinctions in sports and extra-curricular activities were given prizes at a prize distribution function of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22 A, here today.

Presiding over the function, District Education Officer highlighted the activities of the association. He said that the association had purchased two big water coolers, sports items, furniture, made a cycle stand, fitted tubelights in the primary schools and removed grass from the playgrounds of the senior school from their funds. He later gave away the prizes. Sushil Bhambri gave away two honesty awards from his own pocket.
