(Photo: The Joe Rogan Experience) Joe Rogan, one of the most influential supporters of US President Donald Trump, has joined those criticising the highhandedness of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) over the recent killing of a woman, Renee Good, in Minneapolis.
Rogan, the host of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ one of the most popular podcasts in the world, used his platform to criticize the ongoing ICE crackdown across the US.

In the latest episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ which featured Republican Senator Rand Paul, Rogan said that “most people” believe law enforcement should arrest criminals, but that many of the same people also believe ICE is “operating illegally.”
“I can also see the point of view of the people that say, ‘Yeah, but you don’t want militarised people in the streets just roaming around snatching people up, many of which turn out to actually be US citizens that just don’t have their papers on them,’” Rogan said. “Are we really going to be the Gestapo? ‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”

Commenting on the death of Good, Rogan said, “It’s very ugly to watch someone shoot a U.S. citizen, especially a woman, in the face…It just looked horrific to me. When people say it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was turning the car away.”
The Trump administration has repeatedly tried to defend the ICE official who shot Good, claiming that the woman tried to run him over with her vehicle and that he opened fire in self-defence, despite several videos clearly showing that there was no risk to his life.
Senator Paul also agreed with the growing criticism against the use of masks by ICE agents. He said he doesn’t think ICE agents need to wear masks to hide their identities when making “most of the regular arrests.”

Several opinion polls since the fatal shooting indicate that many Americans disagree with the administration’s justification for the shooting and believe the officer should face legal action.
