MUMBAI, MARCH 16: Fine breaks of 63 and 32 saw Yasin Merchant handicap -5 score past Sameer Karia 45 in the third round of the Anthony D8217;Cruz Open Handicap snooker tournament at the Catholic Gymkhana today. Merchant won 72-61, 99-55.

In another hotly contested encounter, Homi Leher beat Robin Varghese both playing with a handicap of 55 by two frames to one. The final score read 91-103, 120-95, 109-100 in favour of Leher.

Welingkar, Rizvi score: Welingkar MMS and Sydenham entered the semi-final of Impact8217;98. In the first quarter-final at MIG, Welingkar beat Sydenham PGDBA by 21 runs while Rizvi MMSscored a five-wicket win over MET MMS.
