Tata Marathon 2026: In view of the Tata Marathon-2026 on January 18, Mumbai traffic police has issued an advisory making an alternate arrangement for traffic to provide a free way for Marathon runners.
As per the notification, several roads will be closed to vehicular traffic on the day of the Marathon. The Mumbai traffic police noted that the Marathon route goes through South and Central Mumbai from Azad Maidan, Kalbadevi, D.B. Marg, Tardeo, Worli, Bandra, Dadar and Mahim traffic Division.
The roads mentioned below will be closed on January 18 between 3 am to 2 pm:

There are seven categories of runs under the Marathon, and carriage ways of roads will be blocked accordingly. Vehicular access in case of other emergencies will be provided.
The marathon amateurs route starts from CSMT and finishes at Mumbai Gymkhana, passing key landmarks such as Azad Maidan, Flora Fountain, Marine Drive, Chowpatty, Haji Ali, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mahim Church, Shivaji Park, Siddhivinayak Temple and Worli Sea Face, via D.N. Road, Veer Nariman Road, Marine Drive, Babulnath Marg, Pedder Road, Coastal Road, Swatantra Veer Savarkar Marg, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road and M.G. Road. The run will begin at 5 am and end at 12.30 pm.
The half marathon starts from Mahim Causeway and finishes at OCS Chowki, covering landmarks such as Bandra reclamation, Worli Sea Face, Haji Ali, Pedder Road and Marine Drive, via Swami Vivekananda Road, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan Road, Coastal Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Road, Pedder Road and Veer Nariman Road. The race will be held from 5:00 am to 9:10 am.
The timed 10 k run starts from CSMT and ends at Metro Junction, passing Flora Fountain, Marine Drive, NCPA, Mafatlal Gymkhana and Marine Lines, via D.N. Road, Veer Nariman Road, Madame Cama Road, N.S. Bose Road, Princess Street Flyover and Jagannath Shankar Seth Road. The race will be held from 6:00 am to 8:00 am.
The elite marathon starts and finishes at CSMT, passing key landmarks including Flora Fountain, Marine Drive, Chowpatty, Haji Ali, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mahim Church, Shivaji Park and Worli, via D.N. Road, Veer Nariman Road, Coastal Road, Swatantra Veer Savarkar Marg, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Pedder Road and Marine Drive. The race will be held from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.
The CWD run is a loop starting and finishing at CSMT, covering Flora Fountain, via D.N. Road. The race will be held from 7:05 am to 7:45 am.
The senior citizen run starts from CSMT and finishes at Metro Junction, passing Marine Drive and Marine Lines, via D.N. Road, Veer Nariman Road, Princess Street Flyover and Jagannath Shankar Seth Road. The race will be held from 7:25 am to 8:45 am.
The dream run starts from CSMT and finishes at Metro Junction, passing Marine Drive, NCPA, Parsee Gymkhana and Marine Lines, via D.N. Road, Veer Nariman Road, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road, Princess Street Flyover and Jagannath Shankar Seth Road. The race will be held from 8:15 am to 11:00 am.
The Mumbai Marathon is an annual international marathon held in the country’s financial capital since 2004. This year, the top 3 marathon finishers, men and women, will receive medals and prize money of Rs 50,000 (1st position), 30,000 (2nd position), and Rs 20,000 (3rd position). All marathon elite finishers will receive a Finisher Medal post their run. Timing Certificates of marathon finishers will be available for download from the event website within 21 working days after race day.
