MUMBAI, AUG 18: Mamata Prabhu of Mulund Commerce and Shalmali Inamdar of Mithibai split honours in the girls event of the Junior College Sports Association inter-college table tennis tournament at Mulund College of Commerce today. Shalmali prevailed over Mamata, the state8217;s second best woman paddler, 10-21 21-17 21-19 12-21 22-20, to clinch the girls title.

Mamata avenged the loss in the team championship, rallying from a one-game deficit to beat Shalmali 13-21 23-21 21-19. The win helped Mulund Commerce beat Mithibai 3-1, and prevented the latter from making a clean sweep of the titles.

In addition to the girls singles, Mithibai clinched the boys singles and team championships. Mitesh Puranik put it across Shashank Juvekar in the all-Mithibai singles final, and the two combined to keep VG Vaze out 3-1.
