LIC beat Tari XI

Chasing this total, Tari XI batsmen failed to resist the LIC bowling and were bowled out for 156. Vikram Sharma top scored with 38 while Vikram Khajuria (30) and Baljit Rana (24) were the other scorers.

The LIC bowling heroes were Amarbir Singh (3-21), Gurpreet Singh (2-19) and Gurpreet Singh Jr (2-21) LIC XI made it to the final of the three-team round robin super league.

Scores: LIC XI: 189 (Aman Kumar 44, Suraj 32; Baljit Rana 3-34, Madan Lal 3-26) beat Tari XI: 156 (Baljit Rana 24, Vikram Sharma 38, Vikram Khajuria 30; Amarbir Singh 3-21, Gurpreet Jr 2-21, Gurpreet 2-19).

50 do parasailing
Over 50 NCC cadets, including 10 girls, from various City colleges carried out parasailing launches during a two-day programme organised at the 12 Wing, Air Force Station here.

The programme was conducted by the Delhi-based Air Force Adventure Cell and No.1 Chandigarh NCC Squadron with assistance from No.955 Squadron. The launches were carried out under the suprvision of three IAF coaches, Sgt Shintholey, Cpl Tom Joseph and Cpl A.K. Mohanty.

The programme, organised as a part of the national adventure sports week will conclude on January 14, with a sky diving show by the IAF’s Akash Ganga team scheduled to be held at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium.
