Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 2: The Kerala unit of the Communist Party of India Marxist today reiterated its commitment to fight against the reported move of the Sangh Parivar to disrupt communal harmony in the state.

In a statement here, the CPIM state committee said the party would be always in the forefront to resist the Parivar8217;s destructive actin the state, and reaffirmed its support to 8220;crush the move at any cost8221;.

8220;The statement of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Kummanam Rajasekharan on the Maramon Convention is a blatant challenge to the secular forces in the state8221;, the committee said.

The state leadership warned the VHP of 8220;stern rebuff8221; to its attempts to foment communalism in Kerala. The party also called upon other secular forces to fight communal forces.

It may be recalled that the Hindu Aikya Vedi, a forum of 40 Hindu organisations, had announced at its convention here on Sunday that it would launch an intensive anti-conversion campaign.
