CALCUTTA, MARCH 5: Bengal batsmen notched up a big total of 525 in the first innings of their Ranji Trophy Super League tie against Maharashtra at the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club here today. In reply, Maharashtra were 17 without loss at draw of stumps on the second day.

Saba Karim 93 and Debang Gandhi 91, came up with sizeable contributions when Bengal began the day at 238 for three.

Karim particularly enjoyed the CCamp;FC wicket, hitting three sixes in his 155-ball innings.
