Samresh Jung won his second individual medal in Air Pistol event today in the sixth Commonwealth Shooting Championship in Melbourne. In the qualifying round, the Indian shot 578 and was at the second position at the ‘finals’.

India’s Ronak Pandit also shot 578 in the qualifying round and earned a third place but in the final round he could score only 95.7 and was placed fourth.

Due to sudden change in the weather conditions, Jaspal Rana had to contend himself with a bronze medal in Standard Pistol. The bad weather affected the performance of Mansher Singh, who was at No.2 yesterday in Trap event. He could score only 43/50 today and was placed sixth after the finals. His total score was 115/125. manavjit Singh and Zorawar Singh shot 112 and 109 respectively and were ranked 9th and 15th.

Indian shooters have so far won 10 gold, six silver and three bronze medals.
