Dressed in a bright green sari with golden motifs, a dozen bangles adorning her hands, and bridal make-up, Eesha Koppikhar seems to have gotten into the skin of a stereotypical Rajshri heroine. And why not? Koppikhar8217;s forthcoming film Ek Vivaah.. Aisa Bhi, which releases this weekend, after all, is a Rajshri film. Talking about the film and her character, Koppikhar says, 8220;It8217;s a film about true love. My character, Chandni, who belongs to a middle-class family in Bhopal, falls in love with Prem Sonu Sood who belongs to an affluent family.8221; The Rajshri twist obviously comes when Chandni8217;s father dies and the responsibility of her siblings falls on her, stalling the couple8217;s marriage plans. And that8217;s not all: while Prem sticks by Chandni through thick and thin, the wait goes on for 12 long years.
8220;The crew spent over a month in Bhopal and shot at exotic locations like Gauhar Mahal and Bharat Bhavan. The city is a mix of colours, and the mannerisms of the locals further inspired our characters,8221; says Koppikhar, who last film Hello failed at the box office. While her career has been on a slump for a long time, she is working hard at changing it all. With Jahnu Baruah8217;s Har Pall with Preity Zinta, Shiney Ahuja and Dino Morea, and Manoj Tiwari8217;s Hello Darling, Koppikhar is hopeful. But before that she says, 8220;Rajshri is a coveted banner and I am sure of the film8217;s success.8221;
