The southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of Rajasthan and thus has covered the entire country.

The low pressure area over Jharkhand and neighbourhood now lies over east Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood.

Associated cyclonic circulation extends up to mid tropospheric levels.

The axis of the monsoon trough at sea level passes through Anupgarh, Jaipur, centre of low pressure area, Contai and thence southeastwards to east central Bay of Bengal.

The off-shore trough at sea level from Maharashtra coast to Karnataka coast now extends from Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast.

The cyclonic circulation over west Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood now lies over east Rajasthan and neighbourhood and extends up to 2.1 kms a.s.l. The western disturbance as an upper air system over north Pakistan and neighbourhood now lies over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.

System is likely to move eastnortheastwards.

Total rainfall during the past 24 hours at 171 available stations in the plains, out of 291 stations, is 180 cms. Normal for the above 171 stations is 175 cms.

The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in east Rajasthan and active in Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. It has been subdued in Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
