Actor-dancer Sudha Chandran was recently overwhelmed with emotion during a Mata ki Chowki. Several videos from the prayer function have since gone viral.

One of the videos showed Sudha watching a dancer perform Tandava, with intense focus. As a celebrated Bharatanatyam dancer herself, her keen interest in the performance was natural; however, the video captured her deeply immersed in the moment.

In another video, Sudha Chandran is seen visibly emotional while seated, with those around her offering comfort and support. She was later helped to her feet by the people surrounding her as she continued to express her emotions. Her reaction subsequently drew attention in the comments section of the post.

A user on Instagram sympathised with Sudha Chandran and wrote, “All her hidden emotions and grief find an outlet in the name of God, as it feels like the safest way to express them.” Many users were also confused about whether the video was real or part of a shoot, but no facts or statements point towards the latter as of now.

Sudha Chandran is best known for her role in Mayuri (1985), for which she won the National Film Award (Special Jury Award). She has also appeared in popular television shows such as Kaahin Kissii Roz, Naagin, Kalasam, Thendral, and Deivam Thandha Veedu. Sudha made her return to Hindi television in 2023 with the Colors show Doree.
