While most people rang in the New Year by partying or waiting for food deliveries, one heartwarming moment from New Delhi stood out for all the right reasons. A video from Rohini shows a group of college friends turning an ordinary food delivery into an unforgettable New Year’s memory by inviting their delivery rider to join their house party.

The moment unfolded at around 11 pm on December 31 when delivery boy Abhijit reached the house to hand over a food order placed by Raghav and his group. What should have been a quick handover turned into something completely unexpected. Initially unsure and a little awkward, Abhijit soon warmed up to the friendly atmosphere. Before long, he was dancing, and sharing the New Year cheer with strangers who, moments earlier, were just customers.

The viral clip, shared on X, was captioned: “Delhi did Delhi things on New Year’s Eve. College kids in Rohini, Delhi, dragged a Magicpin food delivery rider straight into their house party at around 11 PM on Dec 31.” The post goes on to describe how the rider, initially “shocked and uncomfortable,” ended up “vibing, holding a drink, and enjoying the New Year with complete strangers.”
