Hilpert to meet Srinath in final

BANGALORE: Marcus Hilpert and Prahlad Srinath will clash for the men8217;s title in the final of the All India Open Ranking Tennis Tournament here on Sunday. In the women8217;s section, Sai Jayalakshmi and V Archana will face off in the final.

Results: Men8217;s SFs: Marcus Hilpert Ger bt Gaurav Natekar Mah 6-2, 6-1; P Srinath Kar bt Vasudev Reddy AP 6-4, 6-4. Jeev at 21st spot

NEW DELHI: Jeev Milkha Singh, in his first season on the European PGA, is placed at two under for three rounds in the Heineken Vines Classic in Perth according to information reaching here. The Indian, who had rounds of three under and two under on the first two days for a cumulative five under score of 139 and a joint sixth place midway through the tournament, slipped to the third round. He shot a three over 75 and at 214 is now two under and joint 21st with 10 others.

Change in dates

CHENNAI: Dates for the Rawalpindi and Lahore matches of the Indo-Pakistan hockey test series in March have been postponed. The Indian team will play an exhibition match at Sialkot on March 3 and the Rawalpindi Test has been rescheduled from March 1 to 2, while the Lahore tie would be on fourthinstead of March 5.

LUCKNOW: Mumbai, West Bengal and Roopnagar, Punjab entered the semifinals of the 9th all India Kuber KD Singh Babu Sub Junior Invitation Hockey Tournament. In the quarterfinal matches, Mumbai defeated Vidarbha 4-0 with Jayesh Jadhav scoring three goals and Roysten Rego getting one.
