Mongia to return home
MUMBAI:
The cricket board took the decision to recall wicket-keeper Nayan Mongia from Australia after receiving reports from the Indian team management that first-choice keeper MSK Prasad has recovered from his knee injury.

“We have faxed a message to team manager M K Bharagava to send back Mongia after receiving the message from team physio Andrew Leipus that Prasad is now fully fit,” board secretary Jaywant Lele informed from Baroda.

Meanwhile, former Indian team doctor Ravinder Chadha demanded that Lele place before the working committee his “full medical report on the fitness or otherwise” of the World Cup squad to clear the “conjectures and misinformation in the media, both in India and Australia” regarding Mongia.
