NEW DELHI, JANUARY 31: Statistics tell their own story of the Indian cricket team’s performance in the triangular limited-overs tournament in Australia which also involved Pakistan, besides the hosts.
An average of 24.75 with one fifty in eight innings, underlines Sachin Tendulkar’s performance.
With the exception of Saurav Ganguly (avg of 50.85), Rahul Dravid (33.50) and Robin Singh (30.71), the failures of the other batsmen are reflected in their poor averages.
In bowling, paceman Javagal Srinath was the main wicket-taker with 14 scalps at an average of 27.50 followed by Kumble with 10 wickets at 27.60 a piece.
