A day after winning the second Asian Central Zone Volleyball Championship in Islamabad, India stormed to victory in the first ever bilateral test against Pakistan today.The two countries played the first match of a four-test series which will end on July 2.In the first set, the Indian team played with great determination, employing different quick combinations in attack and multiple blocks to counter the Pakistani ace spikers Naseer Ahmed and attacker Kashif Mansoor.India conceded 18 points to clinch the first set. In the second set too, they sailed to a 25-12 win but lost the third to an improved Pakistan side by 22-25.The Indians than rallied back to win the fourth set 25-17 and win the first test.The second test match will be played on June 28 at POF Wah, third at Qayyum Stadium Peshawar on June 30 and the last match at WAPDA Gymnasium at Lahore on July 2. The second phase of four matches would be held in India.Earlier, India won the second Asian Championship on better set-average after being tied on points with Iran and Kazakhastan winning five out of their six matches.
