
March to boost morale of jawans
Sangli: Senior Citizens Association organised a march in Miraj on Tuesday to boost the morale of the soldiers fighting at the Kargil sector in Kashmir.
The march commenced at the Mahatma Gandhi Chowk and concluded at the Kisan Chowk. The staff of Medical College, Wanless Hospital, College of Nursing, and students of New English School, Kanya Vidyalaya, Jawahar High School, Ideal English School and New Apostolic English School participated in the march.
Meanwhile, in Ahmednagar, a citizens action committee organised a march in Kopargaon on Tuesday to protest against Pakistan8217;s aggression in Kargil sector. A large number of citizens participated in the march. The traders in the city had closed down their activities till 3 p.m. to extend their support to the march.
The march commenced from the Science College and culminated at a public meeting near the statue of Dr. Ambedkar. A large number of students from various educational institutions, volunteers of various social organisations and workers of different political parties attended the march.
HAL duped
Pune: The Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd HAL was allegedly duped to the tune of Rs 49,43, 671 by one of their dealers,Shantilal Jogetia, resident of Jaipur,and his clearing and sale company, Nitin Pharma.
