The AIFF fiat on Fransa-Pax Football Club means chairman Mickky Pacheco has been reduced to a mere spectator. Pacheco8217;s outbursts were 8220;bringing disrepute to the league,8221; AIFF president Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi has said.

Fransa-Pax manager Anthony Fernandes, speaking to The Indian Express, expressed happiness. 8220;The players are relaxed and we are glad we will continue playing,8221; he said. Reminding that the Mahindra United-Fransa-Pax encounter put them off track, Fernandes said: 8220;The nightmare is over.8221;

On AIFF8217;s decision on Pacheco, Fernandes said: 8220;It does not matter actually.8221; This he says because Pacheco was never directly involved. Consider Fernandes8217; observations. 8220;He never came on the ground like most chairmans. The one thing probably Pacheco would have thought of going ahead with is receive an award, but then again it has been the players8217; who have always taken stage.8221;

The AIFF decision silenced someone like Pacheco who was bold enough to point out irregularities in a system, particularly when sometime back it was Dasmunsi himself who had said: 8220;Indiscipline would not be tolerated.8221;

For Pacheco, AIFF8217;s decision was a laugh. 8220;I was always the target. They AIFF have managed to clip my wings. It8217;s nice to hear that my team will continue to play.8221; he signed off, refusing to talk further.
