DIET: I AM a vegetarian who eats eggs, but for three days of the week, I’m completely vegetarian. I eat till I’m satisfied but not stuffed, and I don’t diet at all. Breakfast is a hearty meal of two poached eggs or cinnamon porridge, wholewheat bread and cold coffee or milk. I have a lot of carbs for lunch, like curry and rajma-chawal. Tea time is when I eat an idli or sandwich and dinner is a high protein meal of soya chapattis, paneer and curd. I’m also fond of tea and coffee and drink about five to six cups a day.
EXERCISE: I believe that one must eat well and work off any excess weight that one puts on. Six days a week, I do Tai Chi and kick-boxing with my trainer. I love it and the stretches that one has to do for these exercises are great. I swim occasionally and it is refreshing. I also lift weights occasionally. But my greatest source of exercise is running around and playing with my kids.
PROBLEM AREAS: My hips, and I also have a spondylosis problem which restricts me from doing a lot of weight training.
