Out of eight starred questions taken up on Wednesday...

Rajya Sabha: Out of eight starred questions taken up on Wednesday, three were not answered because of the absence of the members who had put up those questions.

The following are the absent members and the questions listed against their names:

Q. No. 284 SP MP Mahendra Mohan: He wanted to know from the Commerce and Industry Minister whether the Government intended to have separate labour laws for Special Economic Zones SEZs and what kind of dispute settlement mechanism was desired by workers in SEZs.

Q. No. 286 MP Nominated Dara Singh and BJP MP Ramdas Agarwal: They wanted to know from the Rural Development Minister whether the Government proposed to extend the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme NREGS and whether the groundwork to extend it had been completed.

Q. No. 287 MP Nominated Hema Malini: She wanted to know from the Rural Development Minister whether the Government was aware that its flagship NREGS programme had been accorded less priority by the present Government in Uttar Pradesh.

LOK Sabha: Out of eight starred questions taken up on Wednesday, one was not answered due to the absence of the MPs who had put up the question.

Q. No. 286 BJP MPs Laxminarayan Pandey and Chandramani Tripathi: They wanted to know from the Prime Minister whether the Government has formulated new scheme called 8216;Bharat Dhara8217; to conserve rivers.
