The richest half marathon in the world will again be held in the Capital, in its third edition, on October 28. the money on offer 160,000 is as big as the number of running positions 10,000 that will be on offer for this year8217;s event.

There will also be direct authority from abroad, with legendary British marathoner Hugh Jones named technical director for the event. Athletics Federation of India Secretary Lalit Bhanot will be the Race Director, it was announced at a press conference here last night.

No names of luminary runners were available at this moment, but the organisers said there will be 8220;leading8221; distance runners from around the world for the main event 21.097 km.

Besides the half marathon, the Great Delhi run 7 km, Senior Citizens8217; run 4.3 km and Wheelchair 4.3 km events will also be conducted.

That all categories boosts the running places to 30,000. The registration for participation opened today and will continue till September 21.

Registration for the event can also be done through the event website or by filling up entry forms or at various Hutch Self Service kiosks here.
