
Feroz Ali to head Indian challenge in Omega golf
SHANGHAI: Classic Indian Open winner Feroz Ali will spearhead a seven-man Indian challenge in the Omega Tour8217;s 400,000 Volvo China Open golf starting here tomorrow. Other Indians in the fray are, Arjun Atwal, Vivek Bhandari, Arjun Singh, Amritinder Singh, Jyoti Randhawa and Kanwar Sekhon.
The winner in the Volvo Open, which is the fourth event on this year8217;s Omega Tour will earn 72,000. Beside Feroz Ali, the event will feature the two other winners of the season, Pakistan8217;s Taimur Hussain who won the Myanmar Open and Thailand8217;s Chawalit Plaphol, winner of the Orient Masters.
Ronaldo snuffs out Spartak fire

Blood tests ruled out at 2000 Olympics
SYDNEY: Blood testing is unlikely to be used as a weapon against drug use at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, International Olympic Committee vice president Kevan Gosper said today. Mr Gosper said he had discussed the matter with the IOC8217;s chief anti-doping official, Prince Alexandre de Merode, who believed a reliable blood test would not be available by the 2000 Games.
